Barbara Ellen Durham Obituary

We announce the death of Barbara Ellen Durham in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Riley Traner Clark and Bessie Lee Gillespie Clark; her husband Ronnie; her sisters, Sherline "Shirt" Vanover and Thresia "Tris" Warner; and her grandchildren, Dalas Marie Carrico and Frederick "Jimmy" James Carrico.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleena Carrico and Selina Case (John); her grandchildren, Franklin Carrico, Johannah Carrico and Rachael Burford (Teon); her great grandchildren, Aliyah, Taveon, Kevin, Madeline and Natalie; and her siblings, Isabelle "Izzy" Wood, Riley "Sonny" Clark, Melvin Clark, Joe Clark, Angie Blevins and Michelle Eagle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude in honor of her granddaughter Dalas Marie, who bravely fought an aggressive form of Neuroblastoma.
