It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Sadler Davis (Lynchburg, Virginia), who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Penn Sr. and Emma Sadler Brown; her stepfather James R. Brown; and her sister-in-law Sharon Davis Linsenbigler. She is survived by: her husband Martin E. Davis, Jr.; her children, Aubrey Burford Sr. (Theresa) of Florida, Michael Davis of Lynchburg, Gerald Lewis (Satunya), Derek Davis of Texas and Felicia Davis of Texas; her grandchildren, Ciera Buford, Cayla Buford, Aubrey Buford, Chance Buford of Florida, Ava Davis of Lynchburg, Ajani Moore, Sloane Lewis and Loghan Lewis of Texas; her great grandchild Chase James of Florida; her stepmother Mary E. Penn; her siblings, Jackie Brown, Machelle Berger (Terry), Tina Day (Barry) of Lynchburg, Annette Thornhill, Valerie Rushing (Darren) of North Carolina, Jamil A. Rashad of Waverly and Rev Ernest L. Penn (Ingrad) of Lynchburg; her sisters-in-law, Clotiel Davis, Shunda Davis and Shirley Warren of Texas; her niece Ethel "Neasy" Holmes (Dion); her nephew Dwayne Brown (Diana); and her close friend Sue Hyatt. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
