He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Thornton and Nellie Williams Garbee. He is survived by: his daughter Christina Garbee Matthews (Todd); his grandsons, Benjamin C. Matthews (Mary Helen) and Joseph Thomas Matthews; and his siblings, Robert E Garbee (Judy Hankins) and Sherry Lyn Wood (Hollis).
