He was predeceased by: his father Byron; and his wife Laurie Alma Freeney Dillard of Juliette, Georgia.. He is survived by: his children, Byron Dillard Jr. (Karen) of Roanoke, Virginia, Phyllis Rinehart (Larry) of Gahanna, Ohio and Rebecca Migner (Peter) of DeLand, Florida; his grandchildren, Shelby, Ben, Chelsea, Rayna, Levi, Chaney, Tansy, Newman and Brigette; and his great grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Olivia, Larkin, Libby, Jesse and Lainey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene Missions Cambodia Medical Aid Fund, organized by his friend and missionary, Shannon Smith.
