He is survived by: his wife Ruth Crawford; his daughters, Brandy (Mike), Carla (Cody), Lilly and Violet; his adoptive children, Megan Patterson and Jason Patterson; his nephew Stephen Goff; his grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Ashton, Cayla, Cameron, Jordyn and Abbey; and his siblings, Deborah Goff (Phillip), Cheryl Absher, Joette Crawford and Jeff Crawford (Tina).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Vietnam Veterans Association, Challenged Sports, or the Lynchburg Fire Department in Carl's memory.
