It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carroll Purcell Hamlet (Lynchburg, Virginia), who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Purcell Hamlet and Virginia Cassie Dickerson Hamlet. He is survived by: his brother Preston Hamlet; his daughters, Dawn Rissmeyer (Ernie) of Charles City, VA and Rhonda Henderson (Jimmy) of Evington; his grandsons, Brady, Logan Henderson and Nicholas Rissmeyer; and his sisters, Freida Whitlow and Laurice Hohlt (Herman).

Carroll's daughters are requesting no donations of food at the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Alzheimer's Association.
