It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Thomas Johns of Lynchburg, Virginia, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Johns and Adeline Johns; his brothers, Donald Johns and Richard Johns; his sisters-in-law, Arlene and Helen; and his stepgrandson Gregory Bentley.

He is survived by: his siblings, Art Johns, Allan Johns and Arlene Johns-Wirth (Tom); his children, Thomas Johns (Nancy), Julie Johns, JoAnn Bentley (Mark), Janette Johns (Randall Leitner), Jennifer Domeracki (Ron), Jessica Campbell (Gene Hall), Matthew Johns (Jenny) and Nicholas Johns (Morgan); his grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew Jr., Caleb Hills, Veronica, Dylan, Erika Leitner, Tenley and Marley; his stepgrandchildren, David May, Melissa Gray and Krista Bentley; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaylee Reese, Bailey Bentley, Emily Gray, Lana Grey and Nathan Grey; his close friend Dick Keller; Jessica Campbell, Nick Johns, Caleb Hills, Gene Hall, Charles and Jennifer Collins of Westminster.
