He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Pitman Harris and Emma Mayhew Harris; and his sister Kathleen Harris Ellis. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley West Harris; his daughters, Deborah H. Brown (Freddie) of Lynchburg and Crystal H. Hawkins (Gregg) of Apex, NC; his siblings, Melvin Harris (Mimi) of Huddleston, Charles Charlie Harris (Flo) of Moneta, Vivian Cassell (Carl) of Madison Heights, Donna H. Wright of Lynchburg, Peggy H. Johnson (Wayne) of Moneta and Betty Phillips of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Heather Martin (Tim), Lauren Brown, Camden Hawkins and Gerek Hawkins; and his great grandchildren, Christian, Caden and Kyden.
