He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn C. McCormick; his parents, Lewis Saunders McCormick, Sr. and Queenie Victoria Almond McCormick; and his daughter Brenda Lee Dehart. He is survived by: his sons, C. W. "Rocky" McCormick, Jr. (Rebecca) of Appomattox and Gregory L. McCormick (Jennifer) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Pat Charlie Dehart (Lisa Bower), Samantha Hudson (Brian), Jesse Otey (Seth), Erin Walker (Chris), Allison Burnette of Lynchburg and Jacob McCormick (Jessica); and his son-in-law Randy Dehart. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Cemetery (1270 Lee-Grant Ave, Appomattox, VA 24522).
