She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Thompson and Maggie J. Snead; and her siblings, Sharlene Rucker, Herman Sneed Jr. and Charitta Powell.
She is survived by: her daughter Valincia Western; her son-in-law Paul Western; her grandchildren, Stefan and Tiffany; her great grandchildren, Naomi and Cason; her brother Charles Sneed; and her brother-in-law Alvin Rucker. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home (220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
