It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David James McKinney of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Gallaher "Pat" McKinney; and his parents, James Floyd McKinney and Elsie Hall McKinney. He is survived by: his brother Ray McKinney; his children, W. Keith Hudson (Sandra G. Hudson) of Lynchburg, Mark E. Hudson (Johnna Hudson) of Lynchburg and Amy Elizabeth McKinney (Jeff Kerr); his grandchildren, Kristin Hudson Reese (Ryan) of Herndon, Blake Wayne Hudson (Erica) of Amherst, Dillon of Lynchburg, Dayton of Lynchburg, Dawson Ingersoll of Lynchburg and Abigail Elizabeth McKinney of Wilmington, NC; his great grandchildren, Kage, Chase Reese, Kaedee and Braeden Hudson; his sister Rebecca Bradshaw (James); and his sister-in-law Gloria Merritt Stallard (Hugh R. Stallard) of Richmond.
