He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gilbert Nowlin and Anna Flowers Nowlin; his son Delwin Nowlin; and his sister Vonda Nowlin. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Nowlin; his sons, James Austin, Rodney "Rod" Austin and Fredrick "Freddy" Austin; his sisters, Mildred Hamer and Diann Lovelace; his aunt Elsie Lovelace; his daughters, Carella Anderson, Regina Tyler and Lerissa "Reese" Wilson; and his grandchildren, Gabrielle Burks, Sabrina Burks and Tianna Tyler. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Calvin had a big heart and gave generous donations to the less fortunate and many organizations.
