It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doreatha Briscoe (Lynchburg, Virginia), who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Bernice Jones; her husband Louen Briscoe; her siblings, Dodson Bradley Jr. (Wimpy), Robert Bradley (Tom) and Bernice White (Boo Boo); her siblings-in-law, Frank White and Viola Bradley (Vick); and her daughter Sharon Briscoe Robinson.

She is survived by: her children, Wanda Bolling (Sam) and William Briscoe (Alex); her daughter-in-law April Briscoe; her brother Marvin E. Cheatham (Sylvia); her grandchildren, Marnetta Browne (Cora), Marcia Smith, Yolanda Barbier Gibson (James), Quishauna Briscoe, Antonio Briscoe, Maurice Briscoe and Brandon Briscoe; her great grandchildren, Brittany Spradley Ah'Nirah Jackson (Jaze), Joelle Gibson, Gabrielle Gibson and Matthew Peet Jr.; and her nieces, Sophia Patterson and Robin Morris. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
