He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Leo Heckerman and Charlotte Christine Crank; and his siblings, Steven B. Heckerman and Beverly A. Thomas. He is survived by: his pet Heckleman; his children, Ashley Nichols (Darryl) and Kelly Heckerman; his sister Jeannie Thompson (Malcolm); his niece Samantha Thomas (Bev Mowdy); his nephew Brandon Thomas (Michelle); his grandchildren, Liam, Layla Beth and Mason; and his brother-in-law Larry Thomas.
