She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Howard Wilson Welling; and her son Clifford N. Welling. She is survived by: her children, David H. Welling (Ngan) of Lynchburg, Philip W. Welling (Diane) of Forest, Charity W. Tidwell (Rudy) of Lynchburg, Faith I. Welling (Marc Teitelbaum) of Arizona and Hope W. Thompson (Turner) of Ashland; her sister Mary Rose Stouffer; and her grandchildren, Daniel Higginbotham (Jessica), Matthew Higginbotham, Mark Hudson, Jeffrey Teitelbaum (Allison), Matthew Teitelbaum, Amanda Thompson, Jessica Tidwell, Kayla Tidwell, Britney Tidwell and Kevin Young. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
