He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Mae Scott and Elgie Buckner. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Scott (Jonathan Shifflett), Crystal Scott (Roderick Day), Celissa Burks of Salem, VA, Ebony Mason (Aaron) of North Carolina, Elgie Ray Scott Jr. (Loretta Edwards) and Curtis Lamont Pannell (Shanta Pannell); and his brother James Scott Sr.. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
