With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Layne Irvan of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 15, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Guy Irvan and Edith Mearl Reynolds Irvan of Rockbridge County, VA.; and his siblings, John Wayne Irvan (Renate), Lloyd Winston Irvan (Arnette), Doris M. Thompson (Carroll), Aylette I. Irvan and Karen Sue Kennon (Charles).

He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Ray Irvan (Eva) of Bedford, VA and Brenda I. Reynolds of Lynchburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
