Harris (Chance) of Richmond, VA.; his grandchildren, Devante "Bud" Thompson, Saniyah Hall, Emmena Awanda of Avarius, Delph, Kannon Harris, Emmani Awanda, Chance "Boo" Harris, Amen-Ra Davis and Emmara Awanda; his uncle Anthony Giles; his aunt Annie Louise Giles; his siblings, Geneva Thompson (John), Ernest Charles Gaines (Janet) and Kelvin "Chuck" Gaines (Vernita); and his brother-in-law James L. Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church.
