It is with great sadness that we announce the death of French Poole Jr. of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, French Poole, Sr. and Aleane Jones Poole. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johnson Poole; his children, Natasha Poole, French Poole III, Greta Coleman and Francis Wilson (Devrick Wilson); his siblings-in-law, Bertie Slayton of Lynchburg, Pamela Johnson of Madison Heights, VA. and Phillip Johnson of Chatham; his grandchildren, Jawan Noell (Ieashea Noell), Dominique Noell, Rae'quan Rucker, Cedric Davis, De'marius "Mari" Wilson and Quincy Poole; his great grandchildren, Ava, Niyeli Noell and Naim Bryant; and his great-nieces, Lilly and Willow Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 16.
