He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Waters Smith; his daughter Sarah Smith Millsaps (Mark); his grandchildren, Joseph, Peter, Anna Grace and David; his daughter Mary Abigail Smith Lovell (Michael); his grandchildren, Emma Kate, Jonathan, Molly, Benjamin and Patrick; his child Nathanael Smith, Sr. (Natalie); his grandchildren, Naomi, Nora, Noelle and Nathanael; his siblings, Rick Smith and Linda Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Sonny, Carol, Vikki and Diane.
