With solemn reverence, we commemorate Gary Wayne Wright of Lynchburg, Virginia, whose life came to an end on July 25, 2025 at the age of 58, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Douglas Wright; his brother Kirk Wright; and his aunt Pearl Lawhorne. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean Tyree of Lynchburg; his sisters, DeRhonda Spruce and Linda Almond; his brother-in-law Emmett of Lynchburg; his siblings' children, Crystal Wiser (Drew), Amanda Miller (David), Wendy Almond (Tori), Valarie Goff (Savannah), Autumn Miller, Sammie Goff, Jr. (Traci) and Andrew Wright (Isley); and his close friend Wanda Branham. He is also survived by fourteen great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory-Lynchburg (220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
His presence will be deeply missed, but his contributions to the lives he touched will be forever celebrated.
