He is survived by : his wife Judith M. Hudson; his children, Barry Rogers Hudson (Angel), Julie Cox (Bronson), Joel Hudson and Noel Hudson; his siblings, Herbert Hudson (Niomi), Ernest Hudson, Frank Hudson (Nancy) and Etta Smith (Harvey); his grandchildren, Matt, Kayla and Colby; his great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Maison, River and Miya; and his close friends, Cathy, Tippy Markham and Brenda Mitchell.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitten Timberlake Chapel (7404 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
