George Haywood Day Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Haywood Day of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 4, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Day and Margaret Day; his wife Shirley Day; his brothers, Robert Day and Allen Day; and his great grandchild Kendall Jane.
He is survived by: his daughter Treva Bragg; his granddaughters, Jessica Branham (Brandon) and Tanya Sinurat (Posman); his great grandchildren, Damon, Delora, Taylor, Carson, Casey and Debbie; and his brother James Day. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the E.C. Glass Marching Band Booster, where his great-granddaughter currently plays clarinet.
