He was predeceased by: his parents, Holcombe H. Hurt, MD and Martha Lee Adams Hurt; and his siblings, Holcombe H. Hurt Jr. MD and Mary Ann Hurt. He is survived by: his wife Lucinda; his daughter Martha; his son-in-law Dale Dudley of Concord, Virginia; his son George Adams Hurt Jr. of Kernersville; and his sister-in-law Colleen Hurt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
