It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Haynes Ore of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, English Monroe Haynes and Mary Pinkie Hutcherson Haynes; and her siblings, Verlie Simpson, Irene Saunders, Eugene Haynes, Hilma Mayhew, Harold Haynes, Maurice Haynes and Doris Trevey.
She is survived by: her husband Harry P. Ore; her sons, Robin P. Ore of Richmond, Stanley D. Ore of Lynchburg and Philip J. Ore (Susan) of Forest; her grandsons, Collin Ore (Christy), Samuel Ore, Nathan Ore and William Ore; her great grandchild Otto Ore; her sisters, Hessie Midkiff (NC) and Shirley McDaniel of Hurt; and her sisters-in-law, Earleen Ore Loving and Phyllis Ore Tomlinson (Eddie). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
