It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Edward Mitchell of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Carol Clowdis Mitchell; and his parents, William Edward Mitchell and Jessie Hendricks Mitchell. He is survived by: his daughters, Faye Payne (David Pratt), Kaye Mitchell (Lanette), Mae Hamlet (David), Gaye Jordan (Kenneth) and Billie Wray Nuckols (Jason); and his grandchildren, Joe Payne, Jacquie Hodges, Jeff Jordan, Matt Hamlet, Toni Bryant, Kasey Bradley, Jessi Drinkard, Jake, Jonah, Jodie and Jacie Wray Nuckols. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
