He was predeceased by: his parents, Artie Ore, Sr. and Alma Virginia Phillips Ore; his wife Gladys Haynes Ore; and his siblings, Artie Ore, Jr., Frank Ore, Howard "Blackie" Ore, George Ore, James Earl Ore, Earlean Loving and Christine Crank.

He is survived by: his sons, Robin Ore, Stanley Ore and Philip Ore (Susan); his grandsons, Collin Ore (Christy), Samuel Ore, Nathan Ore and William Ore; his great grandchildren, Otto Ore and Allison Ore; his sister Phyllis Tomlinson (Ed); and his sisters-in-law, Hessie Midkiff and Shirley McDaniel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
