He is survived by: his wife Patricia Silliman of Los Angeles; his sister Priscilla Gowen Graybeal; his children, John Gowen (Susan Tolleson), Christopher Gowen (Bartlett Lincoln) and Heather Sapp (Jason Sapp); and his grandchildren, Jack, Wilson, Luke Gowen, Jordan, Calvin Sapp, Evelyn and Jane Gowen.
