He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Ford, Sharon Ford-Bell, Felecia D. Williams and Sandra K. Dunn (Peter); his stepdaughter Rosa F. Chasten (William); his sons, James A. Williams, Jr. (Shelly), Stanley R. Williams, Sr. and Gregory Williams; his brother Robert "Tinnie" Williams (Laura); his nieces, Tajuana Williams and Nanette White (George); his nephew Robert "Tony" Williams (Pam); and his cousin Catherine "Betty" Bibb (Larry). He is also survived by great grandchildren, cousins.
