He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Dunaway and Ella Dunaway; and his sons, Phillip Stephen, Kenneth Paul and Forrest Martin.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Dunaway (Wendy), Donna Klein (Eric) and Todd Martin; his daughter-in-law Lee Ellen Hall; his brother Albert Dunaway; his grandchildren, Stephanie Danielle Sanders, Sarah Klein and Christopher Klein; and his great grandchild Steven Sanders.
