Phelps; his children, Shaletta Phelps and James "Ornet" Jennings; his grandchildren, Christopher Phelps Sr., Christina Phelps, Ca'Nasia Phelps, Jaheim Jennings, India Jennings, Jevonte Jennings, James Jennings Jr., Jamera Jennings and Semaj Cobbs; his great grandchildren, Christopher Phelps Jr. and Arianna Moss; his parent Jessie Edward Phelps Sr.; his siblings, Madeline P. Green (Kenneth) of Madison Heights and Donald S. Phelps (Adelle) of Lynchburg; and his friends, Cordell Carter and Archie Christian IV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
