He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johnson; his children, Shelley Harmon (Mike) of Lynchburg, Kazan Johnson Sr. of Lynchburg, Sterling Johnson (Tiffany) of Richmond, Renee Vaughan of Arrington and Kelley Helm of Lynchburg; his siblings, Frances Johnson of Lynchburg, Kathleen Reid of Lynchburg, Vanessa Rose of Madison Heights, Carlyle Demore (Mike) of Detroit, IL, Vickie Toliver (Don) of Madison Heights, Freddie Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK and Calvin Johnson (Buck) of Piney River; his sister-in-law Lynette Holifield (Gary) of Seattle, WA; his friend Cheryl Morris; and his cousins, Ann, Lize and Arlene. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
