He is survived by : his wife Sandra "Sandi" Bemiller Kiger; his brother Ralph Kiger; his children, Barry Kiger (Tammy), Betsy West (Michael) and Angie Kiger; his grandchildren, Nathan Kiger, Ella and Hannah West; his sister Ethel Lee Lloyd; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Kiger Doney.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday, March 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fort Hill United Methodist Church (106 Oakridge Blvd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
