He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Abbitt Napier and Charlie Napier; his siblings, David Napier, Lewis Napier, Charlie Napier, Stella Davis, Ella Davis and Fannie Morgan; his brother-in-law Carl Johnson; his grandchildren, Christopher Lee Austin and Ayanna Sehenick Austin; and his close friend Marshall Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Harvey Napier of Appomattox, VA, James Austin of Harrisonburg, Gail Austin, Angel Austin of Lynchburg, VA, Rita Martin (Timothy) of Harrisonburg, VA and Linda Napier of Harrisonburg, VA; his sister Carrie Johnson; his sister-in-law Rosa Napier; his brothers, Clarence Napier of Lynchburg, VA and Paul Napier (Nancy Napier) of Charlotte County; and his godson Marcus Hamlett. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
