He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Scott Sr. and Rosa Ella Scott; and his sister Shirley Scott. He is survived by: his children, Tawanda Petty and Dewayne Petty (Brittany); his grandchildren, Mahogany, Keyon, Jasmine, James, Andra, Te'Chaun, Nazreana, Aubrey, Dewayne and Decarlos; his sisters, Sandra, Brenda and Ella Scott of Lynchburg; his aunt Gertrude Brown; and his nephews, Cedric Scott (Yolanda) and Terrance Scott. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
