He was predeceased by: his parents, Sallie Allison Trogdon Moorefield and John Edward Trogdon, Sr.; his brother John Edward Trogdon, Jr.; his wife Sondra Trogdon; and his stepdaughter Sonja Denise Alvarez.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Elliott (Mark) of Forest, VA; his grandchildren, Kensley Jones (David) and Keyton Elliott; his great grandchild Brooke Jones; his stepson Joseph Alvarez; his brother Robert William Trogdon (Billy) of Evington, VA; his niece Marci Trogdon; his nephew Zach Trogdon (Stephanie); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Skylar Unroe (Tyler), Tori Rosser, David Trogdon, Allison Trogdon and James Trogdon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Baptist Church Evington, VA or Spring Oak Senior Living Bedford (Memory Care Unit) in James's name.
