It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Woodson of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnell Woodson, Sr. and Doris Pinn Woodson; and his sisters, Joyce Ann and Eula M. Woodson. He is survived by: his wife Bessie West Woodson; his son Lewis Woodson; his stepsons, Andre West and Daniel Crawley Jr.; his siblings, Carolyn Woodson, Pearl White and Burnell Woodson, Jr. (Marie); his grandson Josiah Woodson; his stepgrandsons, Daniel Crawley, III, Jeremiah Crawley and Kahlil Mickens; and his close friends, Richard Green and Theodore Holland. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
