She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Douglas and Annie "Ruth" Ewers (McFall); her brother Thomas "Tommy" Ewers; and her daughter Jamie Leigh Johnson. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Phillip and Christina (Jon); and her sister Martha Cadd. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Music Department at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.
