She was predeceased by: her parents, Gabriel T. Saunders and Frances Giles Saunders; her husband Richard Andrew Hatton, Jr.; her sisters, Mary Lee (Cecil), Louise Smith (David) and Arlene Proffitt (Ralph); and her great grandchild Alex Skinner.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Lynn Hatton Suddith; her son-in-law Rodney Suddith of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Sarah Gorman (Jim) of Norfolk, Abby Skinner of Richmond, Amanda Novack (Matt) and Richard Suddith of Lynchburg; her great grandchildren, Andrew Gorman, Matt Gorman, Tommy Gorman, John Gorman, Kate Gorman, Peter Gorman, Lucy Gorman, Anne Gorman, Maggie Gorman, James Gorman, Sam Lowery, Bobby Skinner, Buck Novack, Holcomb Novack and Wrenlee Novack; and her sister-in-law Betty Hatton Griffith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church or the Nelson County Historical Society.
