She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Lewis and Clarice Lewis of Halifax County, Virginia.; her husband Fred Thomas Hauser Jr.; her son Edward S. Hauser (Ed); her sister Lois Lowery; and her nephew Scott Lowery.

She is survived by: her children, Fred T. Hauser III (Amy) and Susan Hauser Beverley (Mark); her granddaughters, Logan Ruff (Dakota), Madison Sitton and Caleigh Hauser; her great grandchildren, Banks Ruff and Crews Ruff; her nephew Rodney Lowery; and her brother-in-law Tommy Lowery.

Because of her love of animals and children, the family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice that will benefit children or animals.
