We are sad to announce that, on February 17, 2026, at the age of 94, Jerry Bryan Gallagher of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jerry departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jerry. Though Jerry may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Odell Gallagher and Edith Wood Gallagher; and his siblings, Mike, Gene Gallagher and Sheila Carwile.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ware Gallagher; his son Bryan Gallagher (Wendy) of Richmond; his half-brother Claiborne Compton of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Patrick Gallagher of Appomattox and Lauren Gallagher of Lynchburg.
