It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Howard Hunton of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Hunton and Nellie Hunton; and his siblings, Frances H. McLanahan, Richard Hunton and Robert Hunton.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia K. Hunton; and his nieces and nephews, Richard Hunton (Cindy), Jenifer H. Diachenko (Stephen), Susie H. Klakring (Mike), Bruce McLanahan (Leslie), Esther Cruice (Steve), Paul McLanahan and Philip McLanahan.
