She was predeceased by: her parents, James Fitzgerald and Hazel Ramsey Fitzgerald; her former husband Harvey Jackson "Jackie" Best, Sr.; her sons, Harvey Best, Jr. and Steven Best; and her siblings, James, Wilson, Madeline, Elestine and Maxine.

She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Lemon; her son Kevin Best (Renee); her daughters-in-law, Treasa Best and Kimberly Best; her daughter Amber Best Roberts (Mark); her grandchildren, Robert Lemon, Jr. (Tamara) and Beth Fogelgren (Mark); Betty. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, doting nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
