She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul W. Hardesty and Virginia Cole Hardesty; her sister Sara L. Shepherd; and her husband Thomas Edward Smith. She is survived by: her son Steven P. Bailey; her siblings, Paul W. Hardesty, Jr. (Jill) of Toana, VA, Elizabeth P. Hardesty (John Dyck) of North Bennington, VT. and Virginia H. Trumbull; her daughter Alice (Randall); her grandchildren, Megan, Amanda (Mandy), Oskar and Christian; her great grandchildren, Keegan, Oaklynn and Khalil; her former husband Leland Bailey; and her sister-in-law Beth Foster. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Judy's life can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
