She was predeceased by: her parents, Artie Thomas Hudson and Rosie Bixby Hudson of Altavista; her husband Claude Edward Swain, Sr.; and her children, Jackie Marie Swain, Sarah Swain Collins and Claude Edward Swain, Jr. (Eddie).
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Swain Anderson of Buckingham and Phyllis Swain of Lynchburg; her daughter-in-law Kay Swain; her grandchildren, Albert Collins, Jr., Tammy Swain, Teresa Swain Jose (Ronnie) and Harold Kramer Anderson IV (Laura); her great grandchildren, Deven Jose and Tori Jose; and her siblings, Louise Nickols, Ruth Pierce, Barbara Collins and Glen Hudson.
