She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dickenson and Rubye Hanson Jessee. She is survived by: her husband Kemp Nicholas Settle; her son-in-law Danaus "Dan" Ray Ford; and her close friend Sherlock.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whitten Timberlake Chapel (7404 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Signal Hill Memorial Park (12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069).
