She was predeceased by: her father Hatley "Bug" Jones, Jr.; her husband Booker Cox; her brother Hatley Jones III; and her stepfather Charles Smith Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Evelyn Smith; her son Quentin Jones; her siblings, Tammy Dews, Margie Miller (Jessie), Patricia Harris, Nicole Gordon (Pete), Michael Jones (Angie), Charles "Chucky" Smith, Jr. and Thomas Daniel (Amy); her grandchildren, Mait'e Jones and Semaj Jones; and her aunt Margie Fleming. She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Book Hotel Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory-Lynchburg (220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Silver Grove Baptist Church.
