He is survived by: his children, Marie Carson, Teresa Mixell, Roxanne Carson (Belton) and Larry "Bubba" Carson Jr. (Sandra); his grandchildren, Brandie Rose (Percy), Joshua Pettyjohn, Justen Hargis, Joseph Campbell, Avery Campbell (Sade), Matthew Campbell, Alicia Mixell (Colleen), Ashley Major (Matt), Paul Ormsby and Tiffany Whorley (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Emmalee, Harley, Rhylee, McKenzie, Tristan, Jacob and David.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tree of Life Ministries (2812 Greenview Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
