He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Steeples Sr. and Aubrey M. Steeples "Tillie"; his siblings, Bobby F. Steeples (Bunny), Wilbert L. Steeples (Buzzy), Don C. Steeples and Jean M. Tweedy Steeples; and his nephew Marcellus Claxton.
He is survived by: his daughter Makisha Steeples of Altavista, VA; his brother William E. Steeples Jr. (Arlene) of Evington, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Davis, Latonya Steeples, Cheryl Hunt (Lester), Tracey Steeples, Latrina Scott, Markita Purvis (Kelly), Maurice Lawhorne (Lyndell), Wilbert Lee, Kevin Hughley, Julius White and Corey White.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home (909 Fifth St, Lynchburg, VA 24504).
