He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Duck" Franklin; his brother Franklin, Jr. (Terrell); his grandchildren, Octavia Garrison (Mark), Tajah Franklin, Richard "Tre' and Wansley; his great grandchildren, Mark "MJ" Garrison III and Emory Franklin; Derek Johnson, Ken Jones and Kim Smith. He is also survived by "Papa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
